  • Inspect sections and slats
  • Inspect door alignment and level
  • Inspect guides, bottom bar, and hood
  • Inspect and lubricate chain hoist
  • Lubricate and inspect rollers and bearings
  • Adjust and lubricate springs
  • Inspect fasteners for secure mounting
  • Inspect weatherseals for wear or damage
  • Inspect to ensure attachments to jambs and proper bolts, washers, and expansion anchors are as required
  • Make sure the curtain, barrel, and guides are aligned, level, and true
  • Check for expansion clearance and correct fusible link locations
  • Ensure slats are not bent, no cracked beads, holes, or torn ends
  • Confirm that no end locks are missing, broken, bent, or loose
  • Check the bottom bar for no bent angles, loose bolts, and for the correct starter slat
  • Review guide assembly for bent sections, loose bolts
  • Inspect the hood and flame baffle for bending, denting, rubbing, curtain holes, tears, and attachment to the wall, etc.
  • Automatic closing and governor assemblies – drop or release arms tied, blocked or jammed
  • Fusible links – sash chain, s-hooks, eyes not painted, coated with dust or grease, kinked or pinched
  • Inspect and adjust limit switches
  • Inspect and adjust belts
  • Inspect and lubricate roller chain
  • Inspect and adjust brake
